IE Creative

IE Creative is a 17–year collaboration between artists Cheryl Hamilton and Michael Vandermeer. Cheryl’s recent training in the techniques of glass-blowing coupled with her metal working expertise now enable her to animate light and colour within her monumental steel structures.

Michael’s current artistic practice is informed by his training in nuclear physics and a remarkable aptitude for engineering, metallurgy, electronics and chemistry.

Michael and Cheryl use classic, durable materials to ensure that their artworks will remain beautiful for years to come. Stainless steel, glass and bronze are their favourite materials because of their proven ability to age gracefully and withstand the test of time.
