Federation

of Canadian Artists

Look for the flagship on top of the Granville Island Federation Gallery and drop by.

Since 1993, the Federation Gallery has been the head office and home gallery to the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). Established in 1941 with the help of artist Lawren Harris, it continues to operate as a non-profit organization. It’s fitting that this focal meeting place for Canadian artists be on this island of creativity.

From the support of memberships, donors, and volunteers, the gallery holds 20 distinctive exhibits depicting a wide array of work every year. With multiple chapters and more than 2000 members throughout Western Canada, the gallery provides an opportunity for casual meetings; one that allows artists, art collectors and the public a space for artistic dialogue.

Art is for everyone, which is why the FCA offers art courses for first time and advanced artists to develop their talents.
