Pacific Institute
of Culinary Arts
Chef Julian Bond, Executive Chef & Program Director at Granville Island’s Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, is constantly on the move - meeting with students and industry associates, attending local events and cooking demos, managing the school’s nine Chef Instructors and eighty-plus students and making sure everything is running smoothly.
The school is conveniently (and strategically) located in Vancouver’s culinary hub, Granville Island. When asked why he is still tirelessly dedicated to his craft after twenty-five years in the industry, Chef Julian doesn’t hesitate: “This is the best job in the world. The quality of our products is enjoyed daily - we have instant gratification from the satisfaction people get from appreciating our art”.
We teach our students the art of cooking, the value of local produce and we are just steps from everything BC has to offer at the Granville Island Public Market.
