Inukshuk Gallery

Erla Boyer left a university teaching position to open Gallery Indigena in Stratford and Waterloo Ontario and recently Inukshuk Gallery on Granville Island. One of her greatest thrills in working in Canadian indigenous art has been the opportunity to watch the development and see the continuity of artistic work from generation to generation. As the years passed, she discovered the rich treasures to be found in works by the Inuit, Iroquois, Cree, Ojibwa and Northwest Coast artists. Personal friendships have developed with many of the artists through visits to their home communities across Canada.

Having always desired a gallery coast to coast, it was a perfect solution when a location became available in the heart of Granville Island’s artistic community. Inukshuk Gallery continues to feature Inuit prints and sculpture, paintings, masks and jewellery as well as Canadian hand-crafted gifts.
