La Tortilleria

La Tortilleria has been around since 1986 and continues to serve the best Mexican wraps, enchiladas, taco salads, burritos and more in the heart of the Granville Island Public Market.

La Tortilleria’s repeat customers hail from such far away places as Edmonton, Kelowna, Chilliwack and more. Locals come week in, week out, to enjoy the amazing fresh food and to stock up on fresh salsa and guacamole which La Tortilleria makes daily in-house, using local ingredients whenever possible.

For B.J. and Grazyna, owners of La Tortilleria, it’s all about the community spirit. Something broke in the kitchen? No worries, they just ask one of the helpful guys from the boatyard to come take a look. If one of the other vendors runs out of coffee cups or needs a couple pounds of tomatoes to get them through the day, no problem. That’s what neighbours are for. This atmosphere makes Granville Island a great place to work and visit.
