ie Creative Artworks has a fallen Douglas Fir Tree outside their workshop on the corner of Railspur Alley. You might ask what are they doing with this massive tree? Well, it’s part of a new public art installation project for North Van! “We will be casting it out of stainless steel and using the pieces as part of a large sculpture entitled ‘Mirare’. The sculpture’s home will be Deep Cove in North Vancouver.”

Something I LOVE about Granville Island is free jazz in the summertime! There is free jazz at Market Square from 12 to 2 every day until July 4, at Performance Works every day from 3 to 5 and on Saturday (tomorrow) from 2 to 6. See you there!
